Steve Jobs Morphs into Darth Vader

I came across the video today regarding Steve Jobs morphing into Darth Vader.  I found it to be quite comical and actually could not stop laughing, but then again I have a sick sense of humor.  But again, when you combine two of my favorite things (Star Wars and Apple), of course I'm going to like it.  Watch it below and let me know what you think?

My upcoming iPhone 4 Purchase

I am a current user of the iPhone 3G, which was released back in 2008.  I have been happy with my purchase since, as well as my wife, who uses it more than I do!  We currently had orders placed for our new phones, mine the 32gb and hers the 16gb.  Well, my iPhone 4 was ready for pickup on Thursday July 15th.  I had to pickup my phone by that evening, or it would be happily passed on to the next buyer in waiting.  Great timing!  I knew Apple was holding its press conference the following day, its response to the 'Attenagate' crisis!  I really was not sure what to expect...a free case? A recall? Something else?  Well, I hate to admit I got cold feet and decided to wait and see what Apple had to say.  In retrospect, I should have purchased the phone on the 15th.  I called Apple Friday afternoon, July the 16th and claimed to have 'missed' my pickup window.  Therefore, I have been placed on the wait list, yet again.

When they come calling my name again, I will buy it this time, and report back to you on its performance, design, apps and anything else that comes to mind.  Until then...

The dilution of Comic-Con?

Below is an interesting story regarding Comic-Con.  I have never attended but I would be really interested to hear from people who may have visited recently, as well as 5, 10 or 20 years ago.  Is it too "Hollywood" now?  Have the movie studios taken over?  Do you wish its purity will return someday? Let me know your thoughts!

EXCLUSIVE: Mark Hamill To Appear At 'Star Wars' Celebration V In August!

I'm excited that Mark Hamill is appearing at Star Wars Celebration V this August in Orlando, FL.  Not only do I have a Empire Strikes Back poster for him to sign, but I have this nice photo for him to sign also. I already have it autographed by Harrison Ford, Kenny Baker.  At the convention, I will have Hamill, Fisher, and Mayhew sign it.  That will leave only David Prowse, too bad he will not be attending.  I'll have to track him down at a later date!

Does anyone else have any nice pieces to be autographed?  I'd love to see them!

For more information on the Mark Hamill appearance, you may click here.

Bloopers from Star Wars Episode III

Here are some funny bloopers from Star Wars Episode III. According, to the webpage these are not on the Star Wars - Episode III, Revenge of the Sith dvd, I'm not positive though. I haven't seen these before and found them to be pretty funny. At the least, they should make you crack a smile :)

Star Wars themed cereal boxes

These Star Wars cereal boxes will be given away at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, FL this August.  You will be able to get yours at each of the Collectors Panels held on site at the convention center.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend all of them, but hopefully I can pick up one or two.  What do you think of the designs here?

Leo Dicaprio as Robin in Batman and Anakin Skywalker?

I never realized that Leonardo Dicaprio, currently starring in Inception and recent star in Shutter Island, was once considered for the roles as Robin in Batman and Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel movies. Click here for an interesting read regarding those possible roles.

Do you know of any other roles that actors may have been considered for but didn't get for some reason?

Dissing Darth Vader

I'm all set for Star Wars Celebration 5 in Orlando in August. I have my Empire Strikes Back poster ready to be autographed by Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and other actors. However, the man behind the mask, will not be attending. David Prowse, who portrayed Darth Vader, has not been invited. Click here for more in-depth information.

Save the Lars Homestead as seen in Star Wars

A friend of mine went to Tunisia recently in Africa, to visit some of the film locations from several of the Star Wars movies. After visiting the “igloo” (the Lars Homestead), they noticed it is in bad shape and in need of repair.

Therefore, they started a group dedicated to the full restoration of the Lars Homestead igloo. If nothing is done, soon we will lose this classic and iconic movie location. Don’t let this happen!

For more information, you can visit them on Facebook by clicking here.
